Established for the people of Zamfara State
Zamfara State University, Talata Mafara (ZAMSUT) was established in 2017 by the Zamfara State Government to expand access to quality, affordable university education for the state and the wider region. Sited in Talata Mafara, the University has grown from its founding health-sciences-focused programmes into a multi-Faculty institution spanning the sciences, health sciences, management and social sciences, arts, Islamic studies and education.
Guided by the motto “Knowledge for Empowerment”, ZAMSUT is committed to producing graduates who are not only academically sound but equipped to contribute meaningfully to national development.
